  • Saudi Work Visa

Saudi Arabia continues to attract foreign nationals with its employment opportunities, tax-free salaries, and comprehensive benefits, including accommodation and healthcare packages. Coupled with a safe and family-friendly environment, the Kingdom has become a highly desirable destination for professionals seeking both career growth and quality of life. Each year, thousands of foreign workers relocate to Saudi Arabia, and the country continues to actively welcome global talent to support its growing economy.

To facilitate this, the Saudi job visa is available to eligible foreign nationals who wish to live and work in the Kingdom.

The Saudi work visa initially functions as a visit visa, granting a 90-day stay. During this period, the visa holder is expected to transition to a residence visa and obtain a Saudi work permit (Iqama). This transition allows the individual to legally live and work in Saudi Arabia on a long-term basis.

It’s important to distinguish between work and short-term business activities. Foreign nationals engaging in temporary commercial tasks, such as meetings, negotiations, or corporate events with a Saudi entity, must apply for a Saudi business visit visa.

The business visit visa is arranged by the Saudi host company on the applicant's behalf and is issued in two formats:

  • Single-entry visa: Valid for 3 months, allowing a 60-day stay, extendable once.
  • Multiple-entry visa: Valid for 6 months or 1 year, allowing 90 days per visit, non-extendable.

Eligibility

All foreign citizens from all nationalities are eligible to apply for a Saudi work visa, provided they have received a valid job offer and a signed employment contract from a Saudi employer. Foreign applicants will also be asked to provide personal information and undergo medical screening, among other requirements.
